What's new in Idleforge

v0.2

The Visual Update

13 July 2026

Icons everywhere, a reworked Play page, marathon sessions up to 10 hours — and a bonus for checking in often.

A new look

  • Every item, skill, monster and achievement now has its own icon, colored by rarity — across inventory, shop, craft, collection and achievements.
  • Inventory, shop and craft moved from plain lists to card grids; craft recipes are grouped per skill and show their materials at a glance.
  • Light theme done right: a theme switch in the header and rarity colors tuned for both themes.

Play, reworked

  • Pick activities from a clickable tile grid — sorted by level, with locked tiles clearly marked with their requirement.
  • Every tile shows what a session is worth: estimated XP and resources for the duration you selected, updating live.
  • New durations: 2h, 5h and 10h, plus a custom hours/minutes input.
  • While you're busy, the panel shows what to expect — and when you collect, a full session report: estimated vs. received, all loot, silver, events and achievements.

Short-session bonus

  • Sessions up to 1 hour earn +50% XP and loot, easing down to the normal rate at 10 hours — checking in often pays, and long sessions never got worse.
  • Applies to gathering yield and hunt spoils alike; hunt risk is unchanged.
  • Discord's /rpg accepts the new durations too (up to 600 minutes).
v0.1

Alpha Launch

12 July 2026

Idleforge is live — an idle-skilling RPG you play from Discord, the web, and your phone.

Your character & skills

  • Create a character and start climbing — one character per player.
  • 28 skills to train, blending Black Desert–style lifeskills with RuneScape-style combat, each going all the way to level 130 across seven tiers.
  • Activities are timed and idle-friendly: pick what to do and how long, and your character works away until it's done — even while you're offline.

Gathering & crafting

  • Five resource tiers per gathering skill, unlocking as you level (Copper → Iron → Mithril → Adamant → Rune, and so on).
  • Real cross-skill chains: mine ore into bars into gear, cut logs into bows, tan hides into leather armour, cook fish and crops into food, brew herbs into potions, craft essence into runes.
  • Craftable equipment across multiple tiers — the shop only sells the basics, so the good gear is earned.

Combat

  • 20 monsters on a smooth difficulty curve, from a Wild Boar to far nastier things.
  • Choose a training stance (Attack, Strength, Defence, Ranged, or Magic) — Hitpoints trains automatically from any fight.
  • Die and you keep the XP for the time you survived, but lose that session's loot. Down to 0 HP, you recover over time (or speed it up with a recovery potion).

Slayer, Prayer & Agility

  • Take assigned Slayer tasks, earn Hunt Points, and spend them in a dedicated token shop.
  • Offer bones dropped by monsters at the altar for Prayer XP and a passive defensive edge.
  • Train Agility to make every activity finish faster.

Economy & gear

  • A shop to buy and sell, recovery potions and stat-boosting elixirs, and a 50-slot inventory with a safety-net for rare drops.

Keep coming back

  • Daily streaks reward you for showing up, growing a little each day.
  • 31 achievements to unlock — big ones get announced in the #idleforge channel.
  • A collection log tracks every item you discover.
  • Random events can strike mid-activity — keep an eye out for treasure goblins.

Play anywhere

  • Discord: the full game through /idleforge slash commands.
  • Web: play, manage your inventory, shop, craft, and track collection & achievements right here.
  • Android: an app in beta (coming to more players soon).
